(6) Macbeth Video Project II Aftermath

Ha meh sini koi nak kabo pasei Mekbeh jap eh? HAHAHA!
Alright, above is what I have in my mind after finish doing Macbeth video project number two. It was awesome and I am very proud of the outcome, and what have happened during the making of the video. We have a good time. Less pressure in the atmosphere. Fun. Fun. We are young.

Now I'm getting to know why freedom is so important. Why each land wants their own freedom. What makes people to form resistance group to fight for their own freedom. Why people when to war to protect or to achieve freedom. Because when freedom is obtained, so much harmonious things can happen. As for me, in the context of the video making, we have much space for us to perform the video project.
First of all, we have the freedom of the language. Seriously, we do really want to master a language in order to work on that particular language. A French instructor will have a nightmare to facilitate the Latinas and Latinos as there is a huge language barrier. That what have happened to us during the first  video project. BUT thankfully, producing the second project in our very own language do give us huge handicap. It is just, totally different from the first one.
Secondly, the atmosphere was much more friendly and calm. Thus, we manage to work more effectively and can generate more ideas. Because we are not bounded by the alien language and the original text yet at the same time we manage to keep the main message/point of the scene. Things were just much more helpful to us.

Thirdly, I can see how this activity could be meaningful to reluctant students at school. We cant learn and master a language within a day, a week or a month. How wonderful it would be if such activity can attract our students' interest in certain literary work. Although there would be much original language left out, but at least this activity can be the stepstone for them to have a bit of interest in the literary work. Rather than forcing them to like a text, why dont we invoke them. Give them space to work the way that is less impossible for them.

I really wanted to say the third point because it has work greatly for me. I did, have much intention to find out what had driven Macbeast to streak on a killing spree after he have murdered his close COMPANION. Means, the task has triggered my to have more interest in the story. Not only by reading it, but try to read between those classical lines.

That is all. Working on for the next entry all the way from the East Coast of Malaysia.

  2. My father worked in Kuantan when I was an undergrad til my first 3 years of teaching. We lived on Jalan Teluk Sisek, the house oppo the golf course. And I was born in Kuantan. Ya discovered the mall on recent trips back.
